In the past I have blogged before. I first did not know what
this whole blogging was but once it was introduced to me in English 101 it was easier
to understand in English 102. Blogging has helped me put my ideas out and it
has provided me with feedback from my peers. I thought blogging would be boring
but it isn't I actually enjoyed doing it. The only difficult thing I would say
was coming up with self-generated entries; some days I didn't know what to
write about which made me feel frustrated.

Personally, I took blogging very seriously because it was
part of my grade for this semester. If I wouldn't have done it my grade would
have been worse. I’m very glad I took the time and effort to complete all my
entries before Professor Chris would grade them. This blogging experience was
useful to all (I would say) because it didn't take much time away and it was
much better than doing a FOURTH writing project!
Professor Chris I hope you continue doing Blogs because it
was a nice assignment where everyone could manage to make some time for. I wish
you the best of luck with your future classes.

Ariana, I completely agree, the blogging assignment was much better than a fourth writing assignment would've been, even though I think I spent more hours working on the blog than I would've spent on another writing assignment.
ReplyDeleteI also thought blogging would be boring, but it did turn out to be a fun replacement for a fourth paper. You’re lucky to have had Prof. Nielson as a teacher English 101 as well as 102, because his teaching technique is unique and fun. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI also thought it was tough to come up with some of the self generated entries. But, when I couldnt come up with my own ideas I would to stories Ive heard or looked to find new information. It broadened my look on some subjects and Ive learned a lot because I was stuck with ideas. I didnt write the same things I normally would and Im glad I didnt.
ReplyDeleteBlogging was a fun thing to do in this class. I always looked forward to doing it. Hopefully professor Chris keeps assigning blogs to his students because it really does help us practice our writing skills.
ReplyDeleteYou can bet it was better than doing a fourth writing project! I actually would have liked the class more if all we did was blogs. All in all I enjoyed the class and I enjoyed working with you all doing peer reviews and giving each other constructive criticism about our writings. It was much better than the traditional nobody talks, everyone turn to their phones as some kind of nervous escape. It kind of forced us to get to know each other and for that I am grateful.
ReplyDeleteAriana--I am glad you enjoyed the blog project. You have some good content, but it is a little brief. I was hoping to get more specific and in-depth discussion of your experience with blogging. Thanks for the feedback. Keep blogging!
